As at 9.29pm on Friday 8 January 2016 the Bureau of Meteorology advises the thunderstorm warning in an area bounded by Dalwallinu to Yalgoo to Mount Magnet to Dalwallinu has been cancelled. Thunderstorms are continuing in this region and although gusty winds an heavy showers are possible, severe thunderstorms are not longer expected.The situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings issued if necessary.To date, DFES has not received any calls for assistance. IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE:• If your home has been badly damaged by a storm, call the SES on 132 500 • In a life threatening situation call 000 After a storm SES volunteers make temporary repairs to homes that have been badly damaged, such as roofs that have been ripped off or large fallen trees on homes and cars. Please contact your insurance company to organise permanent repairs.
