If you live in an area bounded by Geraldton to Yalgoo to Southern Cross to Lake Grace to Manjimup to Margaret River and back along the west coast of WA to Geraldton you should take action and stay safe with more severe weather to come.
This includes people in Geraldton, Dalwallinu, Jurien Bay, York, Narrogin, Katanning, Bridgetown, Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Southern Cross, Mandurah, Jurien Bay and also includes people in the Perth Metropolitan Area.
This is unusual weather that is likely to cause damage to homes and make travel dangerous.
WHAT TO DO:
As at 5.45am on 26 March 2016 the Bureau of Meteorology advises that a middle level cloud band is over the warning area. Widespread rain, and thunderstorm activity is likely over the warning area until the evening.
IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE:
After a storm SES volunteers make temporary repairs to homes that have been badly damaged, such as roofs that have been ripped off or large fallen trees on homes and cars. Please contact your insurance company to organise permanent repairs.
