A BLUE ALERT is current for people in or near Cape Leveque, One Arm Point, Djarindjin, Lombadina and surrounding smaller communities.

CYCLONE WATCH is current for coastal areas from Beagle Bay to Bidyadanga including Broome.

ALL CLEAR is current for people in or near Koolan Island and Cockatoo Island.
Wind and storm surge dangers have passed but continue to take care.
At 2 pm Tropical Cyclone (TC) Laurence, Category 1, is estimated to be 85 kilometres east southeast of Derby and 135 kilometres southeast of Cockatoo Island.
It is moving south southeast at six kilometres per hour.
Gales with gusts up to 100 kilometres per hour are possible close to the cyclone centre. and are likely to extend further south this afternoon and evening.
As the cyclone remains over land it is expected to weaken further to below tropical cyclone strength tonight or early on Friday.
There are no road closures.
