An ALL CLEAR advice has been issued for Gooseberry Hill. The bushfire is now under control however people should remain vigilant in case the situation changes.
WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING:
Crews have finished mopping up and have left the area safe.
All roads are open however motorists in the area should take extreme caution as there may still be smoke across some roads.
Fire and Rescue Service and volunteer Bush Fire Brigade crews from Welshpool and Kalamunda have worked hard to bring the fire under control since 5pm.
They were supported by two helitacs operating from the air.
It is estimated less than one hectare was burnt.
The fire is suspicious and people are asked to report any suspicious behaviour to Police Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
