Bushfire WATCH AND ACT message for Abraham Close, Joshua Mews and Caspian Way Brigadoon

A bushfire WATCH AND ACT message has been issued for people in the south western part of Brigadoon for the streets of Abraham Close, Joshua Mews and Caspian Way.


This means that if you are in this area there is a possible threat to live and homes. You need to put your bushfire survival plan into action. If you have decided to leave for a safer place, leave now if the way is clear and take your bushfire survival kit with you. Relocating at the last minute is deadly.



The bushfire is moving slowly in a north easterly direction towards Joshua Mews bushland. It is out of control but the fire has slowed as it moves towards a creek line.


FESA was alerted to the fire at 3.26pm.



Approximately 45 career and volunteer Fire and Rescue Service firefighters, Bush Fire Service and DEC firefighters are on the scene assisting the City of Swan who are managing the fire.


The Type 1 helicopter, four helitacs and two fixed wing water bombers are being used to protect crews and homes.


Personnel from WA Police are working with the City of Swan.


Currently no damage has been reported.



A number of roads have been closed including Campersic Road is closed at Hardwick and Haddrill Roads and motorists motorist should avoid.


Further clarification should be sought from WA Police or Main Roads WA on 138 138.



The City of Swan is managing the fire.
