StateAlert Message: BUSHFIRE EMERGENCY warning issued for Ocean Farms, Seaview Park, Lancelin and Ledge Point - these areas may be impacted by fire before 7am.

 

Urgency: Immediate - Responsive action SHOULD be taken immediately

 

Severity: Moderate - Possible threat to life or property

 

Certainty: Likely - Likely (probability > ~50%)

 

Effective from: 02 32 AM, Tuesday 5 January, 2010

 

Instructions:

The bushfire is moving steadily in a North Westerly direction towards Ocean Farms.

 

Embers are likely to be blown around your home and spot fires might start ahead of the fire.

 

Stronger winds in the early morning will increase the fires rate of spread.

 

A number of roads have been closed including Nilgen Rd, Mimegarra Rd, Cowalla Rd, Sappers Rd, KW and Orange Springs Rd East.

As at 230 AM 5 January 2010 a bushfire EMERGENCY WARNING has been issued for people in Ocean Farms, Seaview Park, Lancelin and Ledge Point - these areas may be impacted by fire in before 7 am.

 

Your best option for survival is away from the fire. If the way is clear, leave for your safer place now and take your bushfire survival kit with you. Relocating at the last minute is deadly.

 

A relocation point has been set up at Guilderton sports centre from early Tuesday morning.
