A bushfire ADVICE remains current for people east of Joseph Road between Inthanoona Road and Trimble Road.
This includes the vicinity of Bunning Road, Trimble Road, Inthanoona Road and Joseph Road.
There are no lives or homes threatened by the fire. Although there is no immediate danger you need to keep up to date in case the situation changes.
WHAT TO DO:
People living in the area need to be alert and watch for signs of fire.
· Close all doors and windows
· Turn off evaporative air conditioners but keep water
running through the system if possible
People living in the area need to be aware of fire and other emergency services personnel working on site and take their advice.
The fire is contained and under control.
WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING:
There are currently 20 firefighters on the scene. Firefighters involved in the fire effort include both the career and volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Bush Fire Service and Department of Environment and Conservation.
Mopping up operations will continue until the area is made safe.
Three Helitacs were used yesterday to assist ground crews.
The incident was reported at 2.22pm on Tuesday 5 January.
There was minor damage to some sheds.
There are no roads currently closed.
