A bushfire ALL CLEAR has been issued for people in Jane Brook for a fire that started between the end of Jane Brook Drive and Toodyay Road.
People should remain vigilant in case the situation changes.
WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING:
Fire crews are mopping up to leave the area safe.
Residents may see glowing log embers this evening but fire crews are monitoring the area.
The area burnt out by the fire has been revised down from 10 hectares to approximately seven hectares. Some fences were damaged by the fire.
Earlier 14 fire appliances attended the scene. This included firefighters from the career Fire Rescue Service, volunteer Fire Rescue Service and Bush Fire Service.
Helitacs were also mobilised but were later stood down and returned to base.
WA Police and the Water Corporation had also been assisting FESA.
The incident was reported at 5.59pm today.
No roads are closed but motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.
FESA is managing the fire.
