Media Release

Choose the emergency information you need
Tuesday 16 February 2010 – 11:00 AM

Subscribers to FESA’s website can now choose what important information they receive about emergencies.

Information on current incidents is still available on the alerts page of the FESA website and through the alerts RSS feed.

From today people can also sign up to receive RSS feeds on Fire Danger Ratings and when Total Fire Bans are issued.

Fire Danger Ratings and Total Fire Bans will also be available under separate pages on the FESA website.

This will make it easier for people to find relevant details to help them prepare for bushfires in their area.

To sign up for the new RSS feeds visit www.fesa.wa.gov.au and click on the button you want to receive updates from.

The internet is only one source of information during an incident, people should listen to news bulletins or call FESA’s information line on 1300 657 209 to stay up to date.
