FESA has launched a new look website that incorporates a number of features dedicated to providing efficient information during emergencies and greater community engagement.
The new user friendly website provides a more intuitive and efficient experience with improved search, accessibility and navigation functionality.
Chief Executive Officer Jo Harrison-Ward said the new website had been developed in consultation with the local community.
“The development of the website included public consultation, continuing FESA’s ongoing focus on engaging with the community,” she said.
“The new site will provide greater integration and visibility of FESA’s critical emergency information as well as helping to better promote seasonal and topical issues.”
“During an emergency, critical sites will automatically refresh at five minute intervals to ensure that users receive the most up to date information.”
The launch of the new website is the culmination of a two year development process that also included an extensive review of the online content.
The website has expanded capabilities for users to submit feedback and subscribe to alerts, warnings and other information.
“The public are increasingly tech savvy, so we have invested considerable time and effort ensuring we deliver a website that provides an efficient and user friendly experience,” Ms Harrison-Ward said.
Due to technical upgrades, some users may experience issues with their existing RSS feeds.
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure a smooth transition, your feed reader may experience issues receiving existing feeds.
