Search is on for the most outstanding SES volunteers
Tuesday 9 August 2011 – 10:10 AM

The search is on for the best State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers and units from across Western Australia, with nominations now open for the 2011 SES Awards.

FESA Chief Operations Officer Craig Hynes said the awards celebrate the outstanding dedication of more than 1800 SES volunteers who help keep our communities safe.
“SES volunteers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to people in need,” Mr Hynes said.
“Communities from across Western Australia rely on the SES to help them recover from disasters such as flood, storm and cyclones.”
“Volunteers also carry out land searches, cliff and cave rescues and help rescue people from vehicle crashes.”
“There are many exceptional volunteers in our SES and now is the time to recognise those that go the extra mile,” Mr Hynes said.
Nominations can be made for individuals or teams in the following categories:
  • Peter Keillor Award (individual)
  • Team Achievement Award
  • Youth Achievement Award (volunteers 16 – 25 years)
If you know an SES volunteer or team that has gone above and beyond what is expected of them, now is the time to nominate.
Nomination forms are available on the awards page of the FESA website by clicking here.
