Total Fire Ban process being addressed urgently
Monday 5 September 2011 – 4:30 PM

Acting Chief Executive Officer Frank Pasquale said FESA, as a matter of urgency, was rectifying its process on the formal declarations of Total Fire Bans, which had been identified during an investigation by the WA Police.

Mr Pasquale said FESA had operated under the belief that the Chief Executive Officer was authorised by a sub-delegation from the FESA Board to declare a Total Fire Ban.

He said the process was expected to be rectified over the next few days, however, during this period there was still provisions for a Total Fire Ban to be declared by the FESA Board if required.
