Media Release

FESA is now on Twitter
Wednesday 12 October 2011 – 2:15 PM

FESA now has a Twitter feed, making it easier for people to stay up to date with emergency alerts and warnings.
The feed includes alerts and warnings for major hazards including bushfire, cyclone, storm and hazardous material incidents. It also includes Fire Danger Ratings, Total Fire Ban and media releases.
FESA reminds people to please retweet responsibly. If you are retweeting an old emergency alert it may be out of date. Make sure you always check for the latest update before passing information on.
During an emergency you should seek information from a variety of sources. This may include the environment around you, the FESA website, ABC local radio, FESA emergency information line (1300 657 209), media reports or social networking sites.

FESA can be found on Twitter at www.twitter.com/fesa_wa.
