Become a partner of WA’s emergency rescue helicopter services
Strategic partnership opportunities are now available for organisations to sponsor Western Australia’s lifesaving emergency rescue helicopter services.
Fire and Emergency Services Commissioner Wayne Gregson is inviting organisations to apply to become the exclusive naming rights sponsor for the Perth based and new South West based rescue helicopters.
Commissioner Gregson said the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) proudly manages the Perth based service which has completed more than 3,000 missions over the past ten years.
He said even more Western Australians would benefit from a rapid response emergency rescue helicopter with a second service to commence in the South West from 2015-16.
"The rescue helicopter service is a true partnership that involves a number of Government agencies, professional organisations and service providers who work together to help people who need immediate assistance,” Commissioner Gregson said.
"The Perth based helicopter has developed a strong reputation as an invaluable service on which the community can rely on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
"When the second South West based service begins, the two rescue helicopters will be able to reach even more areas of Western Australia and help even more people in need of assistance.”
Commissioner Gregson said organisations that can demonstrate a strong commitment to the Department’s vision of building resilient communities and to enhancing public safety are encouraged to apply.
Applications are being accepted from today and close at 12pm WST Monday 6 January 2013.
Application instructions and further information can be found in this Request Document and Fact Sheet.
