Have your say about community warnings on the DFES website
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) is encouraging people to complete a survey to provide feedback on the presentation of community alerts and warnings on its website.
As the state’s leading hazard management agency DFES plays a critical role in issuing bushfire, storm, cyclone and other warnings in conjunction with the Bureau of Meteorology and the Department of Parks and Wildlife.
DFES is seeking your feedback so it can deliver the best possible solution to meet the information needs of the online community during emergencies into the future.
The survey is available until 31 May 2015 via https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/dfesalertssurvey
and all members of the community are encouraged to participate.
To keep up to date during an emergency DFES recommends checking a range of information sources including DFES sources, but also staying in touch with neighbours and friends and staying aware of your immediate surroundings.
If you feel under threat by fire or any other hazard at any time, act immediately for your own safety.
