Direct Care Workers

Bushfires can start suddenly and without warning. As a direct care worker (service provider) servicing clients living in bushfire prone areas of Western Australia, bushfire is a real threat to both you and your clients.

Agency guidelines, training tools and preparedness resources have been developed for Health and Community Service Agencies and Client Managers to educate and enable their direct care workers and at risk clients. DFES encourages direct care workers to contact their managers to discuss this training.

SUPPORTING INFORMATION AND RESOURCES
Direct care workers providing services to clients in high bushfire risk areas should ensure the following resource is kept in their vehicle at all times.

For a printed copy of this resource, please contact your manager or DFES Community Preparedness Directorate on 08 9395 9816.
